This
Goggles monitor was found whilst searching through the Sonic
1 ROM. It is also found when using debug, as the 'Goggle' icon
appears halved on the debug end panel. It was all simply theoratical
that it was used in water until..

These
Goggle sprites were found by Knuckles Prower during his search
with Nemesis's Art Decompressor. This image shows many different
Angles that are used for the different angles Sonic moves his
face. These frames were found at around hex code 00023CDE.

Prower than added these animations to Sonic animations, and they
fitted perfectly around his head. The goggles have a correct amount
of space inbetween then for Sonic's nose to fit in.

| The
animation in water. Since they fit on this one frame of Sonic, it's
prooves that it was used in Labrynth Zone, as it only appears in
here [And Scrap Brain Zone 3]. By Iceknight

| These
goggles also show good use for this other missing sprite, found
later inside the ROM. It shows Sonic holding his breath, which would
have been his animation before he got the goggles powerup.
